As you may be aware running a site like this can take a lot of work. We are continually striving to provide you with high quality programming tutorials. However at the moment there is only two of us writing for ProgTuts and we are both very busy. We contribute time when we can but its not always possible.

“What does this have to do with me?” you might be asking. Well we would like to encourage you to contribute your own tutorials to ProgTuts. There are several advantages to doing this. Not only can you contribute to the community and get your work shown on the site, but you will also get a lot of exposure and link to your site (remember we get thousands of views per month).

So if you are interested in helping us make this site fantastic and want your own work to appear on a high profile website such as ProgTuts, then head over to our contribute page for all the information you need. We hope to be hearing from you soon.

After the amazing growth of this site I decided that we should maybe update the look of the site and give it a unique feel. So here it is. I would really like to hear people’s thoughts on the new site design so please tell us what you think. After all it is you guys that will be using the site. So if you don’t like the colours, width or you think there are features missing you would really like to see then please comment below. On the other hand if you love the new look then please tell us as well.

If you read the last news post you would know we were talking about launching a ProgTuts Forum. Well now we have!

We hope the Forum will be a place where programmers can come and ask questions, share skills and talk with like-minded people. We also hope this will add to the ProgTuts website by helping us build a community and really make ProgTuts a top resource for the programming world.

So get registered, head over to the forum and introduce yourself.

Well I hope you are all enjoying the new Progtuts website. We have had some nice tutorials published in the last 2 weeks and we are looking forward to many more.

I’d like to introduce our new writer Jamie. Jamie will be helping me write tutorials for Progtuts on a regular basis so that you guys get more quality tutorials. Why not have a look at Jamie’s first post that was published yesterday: Model View Controller with Java. Remember though we are always looking for new writers and contributers.

As for other news there are a few things on the horizon. One of which might be a forum to encourage the community to share and to provide a place to chat and ask questions. So keep your eyes peeled.
